We are six weeks into 2017. How are those new year’s resolutions coming along? As I write this post I realize that I am weeks behind on a deadline I set for myself. Every year I seem to repeat the same pattern of setting unrealistic expectations for myself and then beat myself up when I don’t accomplish them. Why do we do this? There is something that brings us motivation when we are ending something and have an opportunity to start something new, second chances. The question I have is why don’t we take the first chance and do what we say we are going to do? It seems as though we have to wait for January 1st to start a new resolution, or Monday to start a diet or exercise or a tragic event occurs and we are reminded life is short and we should be enjoying ourselves. The truth is we can start whatever we want whenever we want.
This year I have decided to write a blog, to create a space for interactive conversation where you can participate in the conversation. I will be addressing topics such as communication, parenting solutions, relationship dos and don’ts, shame and vulnerability, self-care, work life balance, and many more.
Please stay tuned for the first post!
